Bingo Photos: Shaker students help residents at the Albany Residential Center to play bingo.
On Friday night, October 30th, Boght Hills Elementary School hosted a Halloween celebration for the students at the school. Shaker’s SOS was asked to provide the volunteer assistance to run the activities for the evening of fun. Over 40 SOS members volunteered their time to help assure a fun evening for all who attended!
As the sun was rising over Washington Park in Albany on a cold October morning, SOS volunteers arrived to help. It was the day of the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Walk and the SOS Volunteers provided valuable assistance with the setup of tables, chairs, tents, banners, and other displays. Everyone who participated felt they had been able to help support an event that raised over $1 million. There were several comments from the adult volunteers who complimented the Shaker students for their energy and involvement.
